The trouble with having a really famous litter mate is it takes other siblings longer to achieve their due recognition. The К litter v. Norden Stamm was a most successful litter. The black Kastra was one of those that established a name for herself the old fashioned way - she worked for it! Kastra is a tall, strong bodied, elegant bitch with a beautiful head and expression that was marred by a badly set ear that ruined her for showing. The shoulder is well angulated although a bit far forward and the hind could be better angulated. Good depth, strong bones and rich colour with a perfect croup. The back could be firmer. Character wise she is a self confident bitch with a lot of courage and hardness. Her dynamic sporting qualities were recognized early by working dog breeder Dieter Kraussling of the v.Falltor Kennel, whose 'C" litter from Kastra produced a number of outstanding Dobes. She was repurchased by her breeders and sold again but went on to make a number of subsquent successful litters in combination with different males. Line: Queen Dei Nobili Nati, Graaf Qurinius v. Neerlands Stam. It was always said that no matter what the male, Kastra could always produce something excellent. She passed her ZTP and Schutzhund III with excellent grades, and passed the tough German Korung, with a 'V for her excellent conformation standard. She continued competing between litters, and in 1991 became High In Trial and the Landessieger and the German Leistungsieger qualification trial. Her schutz-dienst in Northern Germany is legendary. In whelp again, she missed the Leistungsieger, and time is proving that her legacy to the Dobermann breed will be every bit as worthful as her famous sisters.
