She rarely put a foot wrong in either her working or her show career, making her Schutzhund III before 30 month of age, always with 'a' for pronounced fighting spirit. On two of these occasions being the High in Trial. Her courage, sound nerves, and high protection drives were recognized early by Ottmar Vogel at her ZTP - where she was one of only 2 dogs to receive the top grade from 21 entries. Her character also came to a practical use when she made local news, after intervening to protect her young owner, who was being set upon by a group of young men at a local swimming hole. Kalina received a police commendation for her quick action and recognition of a threatening situation. A product of two Champion and Sieger dogs, her pedigree reveals 8 Sieger dogs alone in the first 3 generations. Her show career was enviable, having never been beaten for a major Sieger award. After winning a string of all possible Junior Sieger awards and titles, she went into the adult classes and did it all again by becoming Bundessiegerin, D.V. Siegerin, International Dobermann Club Siegerin, Europassiegerin, and World Siegerin in Kopenhagen at the ripe old age of 4 years. She also earned her German and International Championships.
